Anne Frank and her father, Otto Frank were really close.

She was the youngest of the two daughters and hence was her daddy's little girl. Otto Frank could not save his family from the Nazi's clasp when they were betrayed by someone still anonymous to this day.

The despair and the pain he felt after his liberation on January 1945, with no family to return to, having lost his wife to starvation and his two daughters to typhus.

The only thing he had left of his family or his daughter was Anne's diary.
