There is no discrimination among people based on the religious grounds in India. No religion is given superiority over any other religion.
The constitution framers of India did not want to form any other Pakistan. A part of India was separated in 1947 due to religious differences so in order to prevent such conflicts in future, the constitutional framers kept the country secular. Moreover India believes that humanity is the only religion.

India is the largest democratic country in the world and it is also the second most populated country in the world.
Unity is the main power of our country because people of different religions live together in our country.
That's why while making the constitution for the humongous population of different religions the constitution framers had chosen the secular model of our country.To avoid religious fights and maintain proper peace and democracy in all over the country.
