Why did our constitution makes adopt some ideas from the other countries?

Indian Constitution was framed in the first half of the 20th century and by then many other successful democratic countries had their own Constitution, so the makers of our Constitution decided to include whatever was fair and right but which also suited the Indian ethos and culture.
