<b>When the Civil Disobedience Movement first started in 1930, the Patidars of Gujarat and Jata of Uttar Pradesh were much Enthusiastic and Participated in large numbers. They Were the Active Supporters of this Movement and Struggled For Swaraj inspite of the high revenues. As the Movement Went on, they Kept on Organising their Society and at times Forcing their unwilling members to participate in the Boycott Programmes.

When the Movement Suddenly got called Off, they became Disappointed as their Struggle resulted into Nothing. This is why the Patidar and Jats Refused to join the Movement again as the first Struggle Gave no outcome. Another reason was that Rich peasant communities expected the revenue tax to be reduced but when the British refused to do so, they did not rejoin the movement again
