pilgrims were looking for religious freedom and thus initanted the journey in search of new world. Separatists first sailed to Netherlands for about 12 years to prevent themselves from laws of the Church of England but it was difficult for managing family in foreign country and we're also afraid that they will lose their English identities so with a little help from investors they reached America and worshipped freely and eventually didn't have to give up their English way of living.
