No you are little bit wrong.
They do, I mean plants depend on animals not directly, but indirectly they need animals help for their survival. Let me give some examples so that you can understand what am I saying.

Imagine a Forest which is home to many herbivorous animals (such as Deer , Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Gaur etc.). The herbivorous animals feed on the plants and if it's go on for some decades there will be no plans on earth. But it never happens because of the carnivorous animals (such as Tiger, Lion, Hyena, Wolf, Leopard etc.). They control the population of the herbivorous animals.

You can see, how plants are indirectly depended on animals.

This is not the only example. There are many other examples that I can give you.

Such as - animals generate Carbon dioxide during Respiration (I know, plants also) and the Carbon dioxide is necessary for Photosynthesis.

Many plants depend on animals for pollination. Such type of plants won't be able to survive on earth without the help of animals.

I think now you have understood why I was telling you that the plants depend on animals.
