Why did portia ask bassanio to stay when she already knew which casket had to be chosen?

Portia asked bassanio to stay in belmont as she was having that power that she can make any of the suitor stay with her before choosing the casket so she asked bassanio to stay there as she too likes me and she knows that if he will choose the wrong casket she will not be able to meet him.So basically to spent more time with him she asked bassanio to stay:)
