president Allende was a socialist and had taken many several policy decisions to help workers and poor. thus he addressed himself mainly to the workers.
the rich were unhappy with him due to reform of the educational system , free milk for children and redistribution of land to the landless. he opposed to foreign companies taking away natural resources like copper from the country at a very cheap rate.
