why did Rana Kumbha become popular
Answers
Maharana Kumbhakarna of Mewar or Rana Kumbha was the son of Maharana Mokal Singh of Mewar and Maharani Sobhagya Devi, the daughter of a Paramara fief holder from Marwar.
He was the grandson of the great warrior, Maharana Laksha Singh or Rana Lakha, and Maharani Hansa Bai, a Princess of Marwar.
He took over the reins of Mewar at the age of 13, after the assassination of his father by Chacha & Mera, the illegitimate sons of Mokal’s grandfather, Rana Kshetra Singh or Rana Kheta.
Later on, Rana Kumbha avenged his father’s death with the help of his grand-uncle, Rao Ranmall of Marwar, the brother of Maharani Hansa Bai.
Rana Kumbha gradually consolidated Mewar into the most powerful state in Rajputana. He renovated the Chittorgarh Fort, and built around 32 forts — the most famous among them being the Kumbhalgarh Fort.
