bcz Ranga was the son of the village accountant who was the first person from that village to be sent to Bangalore to study.. In hosahalli no one spoke English in conversation.. since Ranga was exposed to eng culture, the whole village came to see the changes that may have come over him... they were assured he had not lost his caste...
