why did razia sultan faill to rule
Answers
Answer:
As the irony of those times would have it, Razia Sultan failed as a ruler because she was a woman and failed as a woman because she was a ruler.
When she was chosen as Qutub ud din's successor over her brothers, she was condemned by many because of the fact that she was a woman and never had the fickle minded nizams seen such a thing. She tried to revolutionise the system of governance but conspiracies did not cease to brew. Such intense was its heat at one time that she was subjected to a fierce war, one in which she lost her life and all that she held to the highest esteem went with her to the grave.
As a woman she gave her heart to one of her generals, Altunia but because of her status as a ruler neither he accepted her at first nor did she find it appropriate. Later as they accepted each other, a ruler's war snuffed the life out of both of them.
