Why did revolt of 1857 fail in achieving it's objectives

because it was not properly planned and executed moreover one of the sipoy told the date of revolt to British and they attacked the base camp of army ( mangal pandey) some days before so it all went wrong.

2) no plans to organize ppl in huge no.
3) primitive weapons as compared to that of British.
4) there was no proper leadership to lead the movement.
5) All the region did nt participate fully.
