rich peasants depend on commercial agriculture which was affected badly by the trade depression and falling prices. Now their source of income became less worthy . They were not able to pay the revenue and wanted the revenue system to be relaxed , but the colonial govt. did not paid attention towards their problem. So they participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement.
