Due to heavy storm, the ship was wrecked, and many were drowned. Only Robinson was saved and pushed to an island called island of despair, where he thought he was almost dead.
EXPLANATION:
There is no food, shelter and clothing available there. So, he named it as the island of despair. He was feeling like he will be eaten by the beasts. After wandering the island for many days, he made a gun by himself with the materials available.
