Answer:

Explanation:

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was worried about the distress condition of the cattle farmers in Gujarat. Farmers during those time were often harrassed as well as exploited by middlemen. They were the only medium through which the farmers could send across their milk produced to the market.

Eliminating the role of middlemen in Gujarat was not only required but essesntial too as they undertook manipulative schemes to fool the poor farmers. This was taking a toll on the socio-economic condition of the farmers as  they were given meagre incentives for their produce.

When Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel came to know about the pathetic condition of the farmers and the unfair and manipulative practice of the middlemen, he decided to do away with the practice of middlemen to help the poor farmers. He urged the farmers to be self sustaining entrepreneurs  and work for themselves. The farmers soon took his advice seriously and formed a co-operative society Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Limited.

Hope this helps.
