Scholars Revolt took place in 1868 in Vietnam because the people of Vietnam were angered by Catholicism and French power. This was a religious movement launched against the Imperial rule in Vietnam.It was led by the officials of the Imperial Court. The Revolted in Ngu An and Ha Tien provinces and killed over a 1000 Catholics there.
