why did Sidharth leave his home and family ?​

If you are talking about Buddha, he wanted to become a monk and not the heir of his empire, i.e, the next king! which his father really did not look forward to.

Once while movind on a chariot siddharth saw a furneal. Later on enquiring with chatioteer he learnt about death and therefore in search of truth of life Siddharth gautam left everything he had and went to forest. He attained true knowledge under mahabodhi tree and therefore was named Buddha ie. enlightened one.
