In 1885 congress was set up and it claimed to be the body of every Indian regardless of religion. however it later proved to be functioning only for the Hindus and tried to eradicate the Muslims
congress made 3 demands
1..⭐
political representation according the population. this obviously meant Hindu domination as they were dominant majority in India and sir Syed opposed it.
2...⭐
appointment in government should be competitive examinations. sir Syed opposed this because he knew that the educational standards of Hindus was much better than the Muslims.
3...
The next official language should be Hindi replacing Urdu, Urdu had a special place in the muslin hearts and sir Syed opposed it...⭐

Answer:

Explanation:

Sir syed ahmed khan was appalled to see the condition of muslims in india and hence he is considered as one of the greatest reformers in Indian history because of his opinion that education is must and he opined that it can only help muslims in india make there conditions better and this led to the establishment of AMU (Aligarh Muslim University )

He opposed INC in 1885 because as Congress initially climed to be a party which will welcome people from all walks of life irrespective of there religion , yet it took some decisions which drew the ire of sir syed ahmed khan like

1) Representation in politics in proportion to the population . This meant hindu majority because we all know who is in majority in population

2) Appointment in bureaucracy after writing competitive exams . This simply means that 99 out of 100 hindus would be there in any office as according to sir syed ahmed educational standards of Hindus were better than muslims
