On first June Siraj Ud Daullah’s army attacked the Kasimbazar factory of the British, which was situated few km away from Murshidabad.
This is because the British wanted to go for the fortification of their power in the region, owing to launch a war with France.
Siraj feared that this might weaken his position altogether.
