the leaders were feared because they wants to make India a united nation and a secular country and they were feared that this division can make India more weak but the outcome was just opposite India became more secular after this division

Some leaders fear when the demand for formation of states on language was raised because they believed that it would create disintegration in the country. They believed that it was segregation.

However the outcome was that;

(i) It made administration easier.

(ii) It created integration.

(iii) Boundaries were renewed to keep the people speaking the same language together.

(iv) It also gave room to creation of cultural states.

(v) It promoted the concept of power sharing.
