Yes, the general mass of people were running after western lifestyle because they were just too manipulated by the British system of education which teaches only one thing — “ do this and get a good salary. ”

Consequently, they weren't left sane enough to listen to the wisdom of scriptures which includes the practices for self realization which though are bitter in the beginning but extremely nectarean upon completion.

Therefore, he left for western world following the orders of his spiritual master.

And when he returned with his “white elephants” . The world changed and so did India.

What the Indians are advised now is to please stop wasting their time in futile attempts to achieve worldly perfection. Instead, they should searching for the answers of the following:

Who am I?

Why am I suffering?

What is the goal of this life?

The more temporary answers the person gets to these question the more miserable he or she remains.
