The State Astrologer told the King (Maharajah) that his death would be by a Tiger. Hence, he told him that killing 99 tigers wasn't a problem, but the King had to be careful while killing the hundredth tiger. If the King succeeded in killing the 100th Tiger, then the astrologer said that he would tear and burn all his books and cut off his tuft.
