Swami Haridas said that Tansen was talented because in his childhood Tansen was very naughty and he could imitate the calls of birds and animals perfectly. He was once able to scare the disciples of Swami Haridas resting under a shady tree by roaring like a tiger and able to scattered Swami's disciples in fear.
