Why did the administration of India pass into the hands of the British Queen?

because according to British parliament company was not good enough to control the administration of India. so in year 1958 est India company came to end.

After the Indian rebellion in 1857, the English prime minister came up with a bill to hand over the government to the crown, i.e. the Queen due to the defects found in the existing government.
This led to the formation of the 1858 Act that gave the right to the Crown to run the government over the East India Company.
