The major downfall of the Articles of Confederation was simply weakness. The federal government, under the Articles, wastoo weak to enforce their laws and therefore had no power. The Continental Congress had borrowed money to fight the Revolutionary War and could not repay their debts.

There are many reasons why actually the government developed by Articles of Confederation failed.

The government plan is designed for creating a weak federal government. It created several issues.

There are many financial problems. It is because the overall federal government fail to have the ability to tax.

Due to this, people face some difficulties while repaying their debts.
