The author compares his grandmother to the winter landscape because she always wore spotless white clothes. Even her locks of hair looked silver white. Her white hair made her look like the snowy mountains. Infact she appeared to be an expanse of spotless white. She had a divine beauty.

In this line, the author tells about her grandmother. Her grandmother was wearing the clothes of white color. She was looking like that she is being covered by a immaculate snow. Her sonnets which cannot be heard were demulcent for the winter. The author felt to look at her grandmother because her grandmother was giving him a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction.
