There could be many possible reasons because the author had newly married and once anyone gets married the have a lot of responsibilties on their head like getting a new house and other expenditures and taking the family for a trip and all . And since the author has not gone for work for five months their could problem with his in which he may not get his full salary and in additional to that he may have to gift his wife a jewellery set
