The author was on a journey to Mount Kailash to perform Kora which was a religious ritual of Hinduism and Buddhism.

He wanted a companion who could speak English and accompany him to Mount Kailash.
The author had researched about altitude sickness and learned that great heights can cause the brain to swell or fill the lungs slowly with fluid.
The author was afraid of getting sick and the need for someone to care.
So he did not dare to complete his kora alone.

The Author wanted to Complete the Kora. But the Physical condition of the Author was not Good enough. He was Suffering from a Bad Cold which made difficulties for him. He had a disturbance in Breathing. He felt that he went to Sleep. He met Norbu when he was sitting in the Cafe in Darchen. Norbu also wants to complete Kora. The Author felt Sick further in Drachen. That's why the Author did not dare to Complete Kora alone.
