Reason: It exposed the weakness of native armes .The nawabs of Awadh and bengal,and the Mughal emperor now became dependent on the English east india company. Total financial control over the rich citizen pronounces gave company enormous resource for the next round of expansion

Result: ShahAlam2 had to gave the diwanl revenue collection rights of Bengal , Bihar and Orissa to British . Shiya-ud-Daulah was forced to hand over the districts of Allahbad . Mir Qasim was deposed and Mir Jafar was once again made Nawab of Bengal
