raja ram mohan roy was the first moddern indian man.

In the 18th and 19th cent. educated people in india were countable and we can also say, very less. ram mohan roy and some eminent people of india ike ishwar chandra vidyasagar came forward with the idea of education of indans and mostly put forward about he education of womens, that women should be educated.

the britishers helped them for building up the consciousness of education to th indians.

but, it wos about 19th cent.

before that, the britisher's aim was to make or to convert indian people from their own religion to christianity. and that's why they provoked indians about education.

in this ,matter there was thier (britishers) own strategy.

Answer:

Explanation:

Pre-colonial India is well known for its system of indigenous education.

There existed Gurukulas and Patashalas to promote education of the caste Hindus and Madarasas and Maktabs to promote the education of the Muslim community in India.

This indigenous education gave more stress to scholarship of languages rather than science and technology and by the time the British came to India as traders, Persian was the court language and irrespective of religious faith, both Hindus and Muslims learnt Persian to obtain jobs under the rulers of pre-colonial India.
