The tea and coffee being one of things of daily use was in great demand in European Market that time. Also, it was very costly to produce Tea there due to high labour charges. So the Britishers thought to establish a tea plantation site at Darjeeling Himalayas. And by selling them very costly in European Market, they made a huge profit.
