British saw forests as a rich source of resources , so they introduced some laws which banned some of the activities of tribal.
Shifting cultivation which was one of the major profession of tribals was banned .Their customs, traditions and spiritual emotion were hurt. Tribals because of these laws could not perform their habitual activities such as collecting fuel wood, fruits etc.
