We have innumerable literacy sources of this period comprising of

newspapers,

journals,

plays,

novels,

letters,

diaries,

biographies and

Autobiographies.

Novels, essays, poems also aroused national consciousness.

Writers like Premchand and Sarat Chandra Chatterjee wrote about the poor and oppressed people of rural India.

Besides literary sources, photographs, paintings, maps and statues are also important sources of information of this period.

We also have diaries and autobiographies of public figures.
