Like other colonies ,British Colonies also exploited the natural resources of India.They had banned the shifting cultivation because
-they thought the shifting cultivators were cutting down forest which can lead to scarcity of natural habitat of wildlife.
-due to shifting cultivators british govt found difficulties in exploiting forest.
-to fulfill the food required by Europe,British wanted to do agriculture in forest where shifting cultivators lived.
-to get tax from those who willing to enter forest.
It effect inversly to the local tribes whom life was living in this cultivation.
-due to ban in forest the cultivators shifted to cities for getting job.
-due to ban in forest their livlihood lost.
-due to ban in forest they revolted against colonisers.
-they done hunger strike,march past and when colonisers did not changed the law they decided to join secret group to kill them.
