The Indian constitution unlike any other constitution of the world provides various special privileges to some parts of the society. Due to the wealth gap in Indian society, the constitution provides special provisions to the classes of people that are economically and socially backwards with an aim of facilitating their advancement. It also makes special privileges to women and children since they are the weaker lot in society and for some people in different situations in order to bring about equality.

the constitution of India special privileges to some sections of the society. the framers.of the Constitution believe that for centuries some sections of the society had been deprived and discriminated against.

therefore provisions for granting reservation of seats in legislative and in government job for the sections. this, they believed, would help people belonging to their sections to uplift their social and economic status.
