In the summer of 2015 dabbing became a social phenomenon. No one seems to know exactly who started it, except that it originated in the Atlanta Hip Hop scene. The dance move came from the cough one made after smoking butane hash oil (which is 90% THC). This butane hash oil had been been nicknamed "dab" and the act of smoking it "dabbing" by the Atlanta Hip Hop community. That's the background where things get interesting.
