Mir Qasim wanted to rule as an independent Nawab of Bengal and did not want tò rule inder the command of British. He also asked the British traders to pay taxes like other Indian merchants. The British did not wanted to be treated at par with the Indians and thus the English hostile turned towards him and he was replaced again by Mir Jafar

Answer:

Explanation:

The British turned hostile towards Mir Qasim due to the following reasons-

1. Mir Qasim showed his will of his own and cherished independence.

2. He opposed the imperial Dastak which allowed the British to trade without paying taxes as discriminatory.

3. He abolished all taxes on the local traders.

This made the British upset.
