Why did the Englishman become angry with mara in 'arround a medicinal creeper'

once Mara had laid a trap to catch rabbits in the wild.fearing someone would catch his trap he left his home before the daybreak.Unfortunately no rabbit had stepped into the trap.Noticing a stream nearby,Mara decided to brush his teeth and wash is face .So plucked a twig and started brushing his teeth ,he felt a sour taste in his mouth and gargled his mouth with water and spat it .To his surprise the teeths which came in contact with the twig were fallen.
this is how he lost all his teeth on the right side of his mouth
