why did the Frankfurt Parliament fail to achieve its goal

When the deputies offerd the crown to king of Prussia Wilhelm IV he refused it. He joined with the other monarchs to oppose the assembly. With the continuous opposition from military and tge monarchs the parliament had to withdraw. Also the Parliament consisted of middle classes who resisted the demands of the workers n artisans. So they lost their support and became a failure. Hope this helped.
