Answers
Hi,
Your answer :
In 1954, the Geneva Accords put an end to French colonization in Indochina. Almost 80 years after the passage of Albert London, we wanted to understand what was left in contemporary Vietnam of this French heritage, through the prisms of architecture and language.
A French urbanism
In 1922, Albert London traveled in Indochina. From Hanoi to Saigon, via Dalat, the reporter describes these cities through their urbanism. "Hanoi is a network of paths in a large built garden. Everyone has his share of trees. »; "In Saigon, you can see a red brick church, the theater, Catinat street ..." Today, Hanoi remains a preserved city. Its monuments such as opera have been the subject of restoration policy and have been classified as World Heritage by Unesco. The many green spaces make the Vietnamese capital a city with a particular character.
Good bye :)
