Why did the government banned planting Eucalyptus trees in Karnataka?

Eucalyptus trees are banned in Karnataka because they absorbs more moisture from air and also need much more water for irrigation ... and Karnataka doesn't have enough water for such trees... they can also brought a change in rainfall direction...another point can also be that they are less useful.... it's not good to waste a lot of water on less useful trees.... overall it's to save water.....

bcoz the trees have caused a severe dip in water level and rainfall..
