why did the government take up the responsibility to set up basic goods industries

in my opinion goverment are usually more responsible for every act towards country,the protection etc.

with having goverment things are safer,protected,insured,and mainly give alot of profit.

yah basic goods give alot of profit which helps alot in country.

Main reason why Government take up the responsibility to set up basic goods industries is that the proper protection is mainly required with the taxes to fund, train and equip an army and a police force.

It builds courts and jails; elects or appoint the officials to pass.

Government implements the laws citizens must not break.
