Why did the grandmother depend on her granddaughter to know the story of ’Kashi Yatre' ?

because grandmother is illiterate and he is not able to read any book sweet depend upon the Granddaughter to read Kashyap

Because grandma is illiterate. In her family her family members believed that the boys are the ones who are supposed to study whereas women are to take care of household works and childcare.

But in the currently, Her grandchild is educated and able to read telgu (IM not sure wether that's the language since im in 10th and this chap is in 9th). So she depended upon her grandchild to translate it out to her..
