Why did the grandmother recite her prayer audibly while bathing her grandson in the morning ? Was it of any help?

the grandmother wanted her grandson to learn the prayers but it was of no use as he felt it was only nice to hear but not to learn

The grandmother used to do so because she wanted her grandson to have faith in God just like she did. She also wanted the young child to know his prayers by heart and recite them just like her. The grandmother felt that reciting her prayers loudly will help the grandson to understand them better.
