The reason behind the extinction of the dinosaurs was that because of the mass hit of a meteorite on the surface of the earth, demolishing the existence of the rulers of the Jurassic age. However, it is commonly seen that the mass extinction of the animals largely contribute to the larger and bigger species. The reason of this is not yet accurate but many paleontologist and their team often say that it is due to the weather and climate conditions when the earth was eventually changing. It also might be the late maturity( due to their big life spans) and also mostly they get killed due to their expensive parts of their body( e.g. Ivory tooth of a Elephant)
