The true cause of the dinosaur extinction is still considered as a scientific mystery. But, the scientists go with one of the two formed hypothesis that either it was due to volcanism or due to the asteroid hit. One of the two happened which led to major climatic changes that further impacted the food chain and hence, led to their extinction.
