Archeologists found that fossils of dinosaurs are suddenly vanished at specific geological layer. No actual reasons are found till now. Some accepted reasons are follows.
1. Catatrophism - a huge asteroid hit earth and thus they were destroyed.
2. Climatic transition - a sudden fall in earth temperature and total climatic change made earth inhospitable for dinosaurs.
3. Population hike - dinosaurs population was suddenly increased at end of devonian era. Due to this it become extinct due to less food availibilty and internal competition. Then after population of smaller animals perished.
