One of the major reason for traveling was fulfilling the requirement of food for both humans and animals

1.they moved in search of food as they finished all the plants in their area

2.sometimes, following animals to hunt them, they explored new areas and settled there

3.they also moved in search of fodder for their animals like cows.

4.another major reason was traveling to escape from harsh weather conditions

5.not only food but water was another reason for massive shifting, drinking water was not available at all places ,so they migrated from those regions

If we compare from the modern day,we travel because:-

1.in search of new jobs

2.better education facilities

3.better means of livelihood

4.for entertainment and recreation

5.businessmen travel for business purposes

HOPE THIS WOULD HELP:)

Answer:

Hunter-gatherers travelled from place-to-place:

• In search of plant and animal resources when had exhausted at one place.

• In search of smaller prey, or, in the case of deer and wild cattle, in search of grass and leaves. Therefore, those who hunted them had to follow their movements.

• Plants and trees bear fruit in different seasons. So, people may have moved from season to season in search of different kinds of plants.

• People living on the banks of rivers and lakes which are seasonal would have had to go in search of water during the dry seasons.

• Also, People may have travelled on foot to meet their friends and relatives.

Today, we do not travel for water and food but in search of jobs to earn their livelihood. Also, we travel to interesting place, business and to meet friends and relatives............
