Indigo cultivators revolted in bengal bcz the land became barren after one time cultivation of Indigo. They are forced to plant indigo by britishers. They take their crop and give them less amount of money. At last they decided to revolt against it . However their revolt was not successful as the Britishers start to ask for high tax for their lands . So the mission completely failed.
