The period from 1793 to 1794 was known as Reign of Terror:
1. Robspierre followed a policy of severe control and punishment.

2. All those whom he saw as being enimies of the republc were arrested, imprisoned and then tried by a revolutionary tribunal .

3. If the court found guilty thay were guiiotined.

the jacobin govt was termed as the reign of terror because Robispierre  folowed some strict laws. he imposed cases on the leaders of other political parties. he even imposed cases on politicians of his own political party who objected his plans
